Project Introduction.
a clear view of key risks & issues to support management
The project aimed to enhance the Engineering Management Information and reporting system at South East Water. The primary focus was to address the limitations of the existing Value of Work Done (VOWD) report by developing a comprehensive Power BI dashboard. This dashboard was intended to provide a holistic view of the UK Capital Portfolio, highlighting key risks and issues across projects and supporting senior management decision-making.
The Problem.
South East Water's reliance on the VOWD report limited their ability to identify priority areas, assess top risks, evaluate strategic interfaces, and monitor schedule performance. This gap hindered effective decision-making and risk management at a portfolio level.
Our Solution.
Our approach included:
- Power BI Dashboard Development: Crafting a real-time, user-friendly Power BI solution integrating data from Primavera P6 schedules, cost, and risk reports.
- User Interface Enhancement: Enabling easy filtering of projects based on specific parameters such as type, phase, manager, or fiscal periods.
- System Integration: Streamlining the integration of the dashboard with existing SEW systems to automate data entry and improve efficiency.
